Makes me wonder if there is any bullseye competition using these rifles. I don’t think so, but I’m curious.
The Electric Muzzleloader
Years ago, I wanted to try it, but it all seemed too complicated. Then I got a black powder gun from a friend, but never used it. I keep thinking about going to one of those meetings and seeing what it’s like. Hanging out with people who know something is the best way to learn.
National and international competitions are held with black powder. Some are with BP revolver and some are with single shot pistol. They usually use paper targets and are exact events like bullseye.
Jason must soon be single and explain everything, as he is a national champion with a muzzle-loading pistol.
I saw a few videos last night, one of which was about my Ruger. I’ve always thought of black powder shooting as a way to enjoy, take the pressure off, and get to know what people need to do. I’ve been trying to get into it for at least 25 years, but in that time, I’ve never bought one, and now that I have one, I’m able to do other things at the range and reload the bench. I spend a lot of time ,

I have read that there are some safety concerns regarding how to store the powder, etc. I still have to learn about them. I’m not sure who Jason is, but I hope to hear from him as well.
The gun in the picture posted above – not literally “my” gun, but the same gun. Apparently they are no longer for sale except for use, but even though people say it is not “true accurate”, they also say it is the best gun ever made and the most modern to make a gun. is technology. It uses the old style.
I have a Ruger Old Army circa 1978. This is not a copy of a revolver and is built on a Blackhawk frame. Black powder has more static electricity safety concerns than Pyrodex or any smokeless powder to DOT shipping regulations. Some are intimidated by KN03, a historically black powder made of sulfur and carbon. I think the same people are (IMO) afraid of acetylene as well.
That said, I did shoot some FFFG black powder years ago, although it’s mine (I still have the metal can), but it was mostly Hogden Pyrodex powder. Old Army is a very accurate revolver and fun to shoot. However, you need an outer limit.

I shoot a lot of BP rifles, smoothbore, long rifles, military rifles, revolvers and percussion. I hunt and shoot these things competitively. It’s a lot of fun locally, it’s slow, and everyone and their brothers will be happy to help you out. However, if you’re starting to get serious about it, keep in mind that matches are divided into seconds and they’re almost to the point of scoring. Like all competitive sports, everyone enforces the rules, Cook Firearm competes, and it stops being fun and starts working its way up to the top, and it gets as expensive as any shooting sport. , BP gun manufacturers are very short and mid range. between – and they know how to bill their time

I still have no idea of any particular security concern. If it’s sitting on a shelf in the original container, is it “safe”?
You can carefully check local and state laws for the storage of black powder. Storage permits are required in many places – the mine is locally issued by the fire department, but it could be the town hall or the police/sheriff where you are, or none at all.
The Gold Standard Of Black Powder Revolver
Mike Myers, I’m Jason Gregoire. I have been shooting muzzleloaders very aggressively for four years. There is no such thing as too much time in any sport. But in that time I went from being a rookie to winning the NRA National in 2015 and the NMLRA National in 2015, 2016 and 2017. I have two national records. One with a revolver and the other in 1964 is the total record already set. I am also one of the 28 distinguished professors who started in 1962.
You should look at the National Tuzzleloading Rifle Association. The pistol incident is like a bullseye. Three rifles, single shot percussion, single shot flintlock and impact revolver. National is 1000 marks. 300 cap and 300 flintlock and 400 revolver. We shoot the same target as we do at the bullseye at 25 and 50 yards. The rules are like a standing bullseye.
The exact pistol number varies by 10 rings. Similar in design but their grips are 1911 grips. This frame was chosen by the manufacturer to model the Smith Model 41. They are Herret National for 41.

I plan to go to a club next Black Powder Day, which I can meet on July 20th.
From what you all say, it seems that black powder can be a big part of the bulls, precision shooting. I’ll look at the things you wrote about.

It is important to obtain information from more than one source and to consider who the source is and their level of experience.
Now, I’ve already put out the word that turns off the lights and sirens where I’m from. Prado. I advise you to put those things on the store shelf where they belong. Myth/Truth about Purodex No. One: It clears better than black powder… Answer: Yes… Probably. But it’s not worth the risk. risk you ask? Yes, the risk that also explains the myth/true number: Pyrodex is less corrosive than black powder. …. No! It is not! Worse than what I saw! Bad things! Unless you do a deep clean and I mean really clean your rifle, it will rust and rust, your precious fire spitgen, smoke belt, long boomer! Do not do it! Please!
