How To Draw Lana Del Rey Eyes
How To Draw Lana Del Rey Eyes – The first step is choosing a good reference. This image is originally in color, but I made it black and white to make it easier. I usually print the reference, but it’s not necessary. For this drawing I used paper, tissue, eraser and just a pencil. This time I only used a Bpencil because I know that an 8B pencil (or any similar pencil) is not always within reach of most of you. But I recommend using multiple levels for better realism.
In this drawing I used the grid technique to draw the sketch/proportion. I’ll give you a simple example to show you what I mean. You can see a smiley in this picture as a reference. I drew a reference grid and the exact same grid (same size and amount) on the drawing paper. As you can see, field 1A in the reference is blank, which means field 1A in the drawing should also be blank. Reference 2A is a small part of the eye, which means that this part (of the same length) should also be drawn in box 2A on the drawing. Of course, it’s a bit more complicated with drawing realistic people, but you get the idea! 🙂 More

As you can see, this is my sketch. I already deleted the network. It’s not always necessary to delete the entire mesh, but since her skin is so bright, it’s better to delete her first, otherwise the mesh will show.

I started by drawing the left eye. His eyes are very dark in this drawing. Draw the eyebrows in a muted black color and add some darker shade between the lid and the eyebrows. Keep the lash line very dark (especially in this picture) and of course add lashes. Her eyelashes are often very long, so don’t forget them! I continued to draw a small part of the right eye. The space between the eyelid and the eyebrow is completely dark! more
Now let’s move on to the right eye. It’s even deeper. As you can see, the sclera to the right of the iris is very dark. The only things close to white in this part are the eyelid and the sclera in the left corner. Everything else is pretty dark. But make some parts a little darker (like the eyebrows) to still see the difference. more
I smudged the skin around the eye a bit to give it a smooth look (this is optional). Now we will draw the nose. I usually start by stretching my nose. They are always the darkest part of the nose. As you can see in context, the light source is coming from the left side, which means the right side is darker (which is also why the right eye was darker). This way you can add more darkness to the right side and also the shadow of his nose. more
We are almost done with drawing the facial features. Stretching the upper lip is not very difficult. Start by drawing a dark line between your upper and lower lip. Fill in the upper lip with a few layers of graphite. There aren’t many different shades in this segment, so it’s pretty easy. more

Now for the hard part: the lower lip. It is calm for the whole lips. This can be achieved with shading and highlights. Draw the lower part of the lower lip a little darker and fill in the rest of the lips. Add an accent to the lip (center) with an eraser. The peak is white. more
We will not shade the skin in this drawing except for the dark shadows around the face and neck. Why? Because the contrast in the image is quiet high and white can make the image softer. Her neck area is of course dark because of the shadow of her chin. more
Hair is hard to pull. You don’t want to pull every single strand because it takes too long, whereas you can do it very quickly. Now you need to add shading. There are no strands or highlights yet, we will add them later. Of course, you can say it’s done at this point, but keep reading to make the hairstyle more realistic. more
Take a tissue and blend the eyeshadows. It doesn’t have to be too smooth or precise as long as it’s just a little blended. Now take a (sharp) pencil and add some strings! Follow the direction of the hair and add more strands to the darker areas and fewer strands to the lighter areas. Pulling out your hair takes a lot of time, but the more time you put into it, the better the results will be. As you can see by adding shade to the strands, it takes much less time to get real hair, but the same (or even better) results! more

In contact is perfect! Take an eraser and add some strands to your hair. I also added to the ring by “scribbling” the diamonds and adding more darkness in the parts where I felt it was necessary.
