How Many Days Until Jan 13 2021
Our new Digital 2021 report series – published in partnership with We Are Social and Hootsuite – shows that connected technology has become an even more important part of people’s lives in the past year, with social media, e-commerce, streaming content and video games. growth over the past 12 months.
Country Overshoot Days 2022
COVID-19 has also introduced new challenges and opportunities, so that digital will become “business as usual” in 2021.
Before we get stuck into the numbers, I’d like to say a huge thank you to all the data partners and suppliers who made this year’s reports possible, in particular:
We’ve made important changes to our calculation methods and talked about some of our numbers so we can report the most accurate data.
We’ve explained these changes in the links to each relevant chart in the report, but I’d like to highlight two of those changes here:

Despite these impressive numbers, it should be noted that the ongoing coronavirus pandemic has had a significant impact on internet usage surveys around the world, with many countries unable to provide updates on internet user numbers over the past 12 months.
As a result, the number of Internet users increased by more than the predicted 7 percent, and we may see “adjustments” to these numbers once daily life (and research) returns to normal.
, my review of this year’s key trends is a bit of a monster – over 9,000 words – so you’ll want to grab yourself a coffee and get comfortable first.

As we track our ongoing series of quarterly Statshot reports, the growth of social media has accelerated significantly since the outbreak of COVID-19.
On average, more than 1.3 million new users joined social media in 2020, which equates to around 15½ new users.
Our analysis shows that the number of global social media users has doubled since January 2016, while more than 1 billion new users have been added to the global total in the last 3 years alone.

Despite significant changes in digital behavior due to COVID-19, people say they spend the same amount of time on social media today as they did at this time last year.
However, GWI data shows that the daily average has increased by more than half an hour over the past 5 years.
The average user now spends 2 hours and 25 minutes on social media every day, which equates to about one full waking day of their life every week.
Collectively, the world’s social media users will spend a total of 3.7 trillion hours on social media in 2021, which is equivalent to more than 420 million years of total life.

Filipinos are still the world’s biggest consumers of social media, spending an average of 4 hours and 15 minutes a day on social platforms – a full
At the other end of the scale, users in Japan say they spend less than an hour a day on social media, but this year’s figure of 51 minutes is 13 percent higher than Japanese users spent on social channels at this time last year.
The latest data from GSMA Intelligence shows that two thirds of the world’s population use a mobile phone today.
This figure has remained stable in recent years, but it is not surprising when we consider that the world’s 5.2 billion mobile users represent more than 85 percent of all people on earth aged 13 and older.

But mobile dominance is not just about the number of users; it’s also about time spent and comparisons with other devices.
According to App Annie, Android users worldwide spend more than 4 hours a day using their phones.
In total, this means that Android users spent more than 3.5 trillion hours using their phones in the last 12 months.
And, perhaps more importantly, App Annie’s flagship State of Mobile 2021 report also shows that mobile is taking up more of people’s time than live TV.
Don’t Let Employees Pick Their Wfh Days
The same is true in the United States, where the average American spends more than 4 hours a day on their cell phone, compared to about 3¾ hours a day watching live TV.
GWI reported similar findings, with the company’s latest research showing that the average global internet user now spends 3 hours and 39 minutes each day using the internet on their mobile phone.
This compares to an average of 3 hours and 24 minutes of TV viewing per day, although it should be noted that people watch more “TV” content through streaming apps on their mobile devices.
In total, the average internet user now spends almost 7 hours a day using the internet across all devices, which equates to more than 48 hours a week online – that’s two full days of a seven-day week.
What To Do If You Test Positive For Covid
If we assume that the average person sleeps 7 to 8 hours a day, that means we now spend about 42 percent of our waking lives online, and we spend almost as much time using the Internet as we do sleeping.
The figures also show that people spend more time online every day than in previous years.
GWI’s latest findings show that the typical internet user spent 16 minutes more online each day in Q3 2020 than in Q3 2019, an increase of 4 percent from last year.
If these figures continue to 2021, the world’s internet users will spend nearly 12 billion hours online this year, which is more than 1.3 billion years of total human time.

However, as we saw in last year’s report, there are significant differences in the amount of time people spend online between countries.
Filipinos report spending the most time online, averaging almost 11 hours a day.
Brazilians, Colombians and South Africans also report that they spend an average of more than 10 hours a day online.
At the other end of the scale, the Japanese spend the least amount of time online, less than 4½ hours a day.

Interestingly, the figure for China is also at the lower end of the spectrum, at just 5 hours 22 minutes a day – 1.5 hours less than the global average of 6 hours 54 minutes.
Mobile phones now account for around 53 percent of time spent online worldwide, but the data clearly shows that other devices continue to play an important role in our connected lives.
9 out of 10 Internet users say they use a smartphone to access the Internet, while two-thirds say they use a laptop or desktop computer to access the Internet.
Mobile phones are now the most used internet device in all countries, but the gap between mobile phones and computers is often very small in Western Europe.

For example, 46 percent of Belgian Internet users say computers are their primary Internet devices, compared to 49 percent for phones and 5 percent for tablets.
Japan also sees relatively high computer usage, with more than four in 10 internet users preferring to go online via a laptop or desktop device.
A country’s stage of economic development plays a role in shaping these relationships, but the average age of the population is also an important driver.
GWI reports that Baby Boomers go online more often on computers and tablets than on phones, with mobile devices accounting for less than 50 percent of total Internet time among users 45 and older.
Distribution Of Incubation Periods Of Covid 19 In The Canadian Context
Meanwhile, the latest StatCounter data shows that computers continue to account for a significant portion of the world’s web activity.
More than 40 percent of web pages served in December 2020 were requested by web browsers running on laptop and desktop devices, but the overall share from these devices was slightly lower from December 2019.
Data from StatCounter shows that mobile phones account for more than 8 out of 10 pages served to web browsers in Nigeria, but this figure has dropped to barely a quarter of web pages served to browsers in Russia.
It’s important to note that while web browsing only accounts for a small percentage of total mobile time, people spend more time using mobile apps.
The 12 Days Of Registration
Recent data from App Annie shows that native apps account for 92 percent of the time Android users worldwide spend on their phones, while only 8 percent of that time is spent using mobile web browsers.
