I hope this article helps you a lot in deer hunting and follow the simple steps to use peanut butter to attract deer, it is a very good way to attract deer because deer really like the taste and smell of peanut butter. Have you ever wondered how well deer can smell what you put on the ground? Many factors play a role in it. For starters, what is the wind direction? How much moisture is there on the soil? Thermal content, outside temperature, and how long ago the scent dissipated all play into the equation.
I recently started working with Wyndscent, a company that makes a scent diffuser unit that vaporizes deer urine. This device heats the urine and then evaporates it. Because the scent comes out in steam and it’s hot, I figured the smell of hot steam should be easier than the smell of lamb spilled on the floor. To test how well animals can smell vapor, I asked my friend John Tracker to use his blood-sucking dogs.
John’s tracker is probably the best known whitetail blood tracker in the Midwest. When someone shoots a monster and can’t find it, John’s tracker is often the person they call. Over the years, John Tracker has discovered a wide variety of celebrities and professional athletes hunting on television. When the stakes are high and a monster has been hunted but not found, John Tracker will get a call. His highly trained dogs know how to sniff and find the end of the trail.
Of course, there’s no way to know if a bloodhound’s nose smells something as well as a deer or vice versa, but I thought it might be the same. I sent John’s tracker to the Windsent unit to experiment with his dog.
How To Get Rid Of Mice In Your House And Garage
As the video below shows, he placed the Windscent unit deep in the woods and then let his dogs walk without command until they hit the scent. What we discovered was that dogs could smell the Windscent unit from hundreds of yards away. I’m sure the deer can smell the heat from a distance.
Over the years, painting scents on the ground has become common. The problem with this tactic is that the scent dissipates quickly, and in some cases, sniffing can leave the human scent behind. However, with a vapor scent, the wind acts to disperse the scent so that the hunter does not have to walk in the area.
Technology has changed the way most of us hunt. From speedy bows to Saint-Loc outfits and ozonics machines, deer hunting is a lot different than it used to be. Modern technology has also hit the deer urine market.
Watch Tracker John and his Rockstar Dogs test the Windsent unit in the video below, then decide for yourself if this product will help your deer hunt.
