Does How I Met Your Mother Pass The Bechdel Test
Does How I Met Your Mother Pass The Bechdel Test – Ended in 2014, fans are still discussing it online. Like a show that jumps back and forth in time, viewers can use this as a way to imagine how today’s events might be connected. And a new theory suggests that the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic played a role in the death of the titular mother.

The series premiered in 2005. Because the main character Ted (Josh Radnor) remembers the events that happened in the past. It tells a story (narrated by Bob Saget) from the year 2030 when his children were teenagers.
Times How I Met Your Mother Was Heartwarming (& 5 Times It Was Heartbreaking)
The show begins with the events of 2005 and ends with a weekend in 2013. However, there are moments of waiting when events occur after this time. Ted explains to his children how he met their mother and the show kept his identity hidden from viewers for most of its nine seasons.
Throughout the series, the writers allude to the mother. Her name is Tracy, she plays bass and studied economics. Viewers meet Tracy at the end of Season 8, and the final season includes flashbacks that reveal her impending death from an unknown illness.
At the end of the series, the question is answered: Ted meets Tracy after Robin and Barney get married. They start dating, fall in love, have two kids and get married in 2020. Tracy dies in 2024 and her cause of death is presumed to be cancer, though it is never mentioned.

Now that we’re actually living in 2020, a fan of the series is asking the question: how can you tell a story like this in detail and not mention the pandemic? “Ted Mosby in 2030 tells the story of how he met the mother of his children and NEVER WAS CORONAVIRUS,” they wrote.
But there might be a reason. If Tracy dies from the coronavirus, his children (who will be very young in 2020) will know about it. “I had to go back and check what year my mom died in to make sure she didn’t die of Covid,” wrote another Twitter user. “He will die in 2024… I really hope that in 4 years this will not be a problem.”

While Thomas didn’t speculate on Tracy’s death theory, he responded on Twitter, writing, “Ted didn’t mention it for the same reason he tells a long, long story like it’s all the time in the world. end window): THEY ARE STILL IN QUARANTINE. It won’t magically disappear!”
The conclusion seems to be that Tracy may have overcome complications from COVID, but let’s not forget that he visited her in the hospital without PPE, so maybe not, folks — Tara Millett (@LazyGinger) Aug 6 2020
As with most fan theories, there are reasons why this is unlikely. “Seems like the bottom line is that Tracey may have gotten over complications from COVID but let’s not forget she visited the hospital without PPE so maybe not guys,” wrote the fan who originally wrote about it. .
How I Met Your Father’ 1×01 Review:
For that matter, there are several episodes that show events between 2020 and 2030 and no one is wearing a mask or following social distancing rules. So either society is dropping precautions entirely and the coronavirus remains a problem, or Tracey died of some kind of cancer, as has been claimed in the past. It may not sound like a sitcom, but after the scandalous ending of How I Met Your Mother, this is no longer a fit for How I Met Your Mother. As crazy as this theory sounds, I’m pretty sure Marshall Eriksen killed Tracey Mosby in the last episode of How I Met Your Mother.
It all started in this episode. Barney wakes up at Lily and Marshall’s house after getting on the “drunken train” and is convinced that they have hidden a sex tape somewhere in their house. Looking for it, he finds a box of long-term bets they keep, one of which Lily bets Marshall that Ted and Robin will never get back together. When Ted finds out about his affair with Robin and is upset with Lily, it causes Ted to wonder why he hasn’t been back with Robin for the past five years.
When Robin returns from Russia, she and Ted have a chance to reconsider their relationship. Ted meets her at the airport, takes her to dinner at a Brooklyn bistro for the episode “Pilot”, and then drives her home. She realizes they won’t work out and rejects Robin’s consolation that they still have an agreement to get married if they both get married at the age of 40. When Ted asks if Robin likes him, Robin admits that he doesn’t and is comfortable with their friends. Ted asks her to forget about last week.
When Marshall learns that Ted has given up on the idea of being with Robin in any romantic context, he tells Robin that he has to leave for Ted’s sake, to which he agrees. Soon after, Robin leaves, leaving Ted alone on the roof of his apartment building. A moment later, future Ted tells his children that the end of his relationship with Robin has finally opened up the opportunity to meet his mother. At their house, Lily, convinced that this is the end for Ted and Robin, asks Marshall to pay for their bet. Echoing his words at Ted’s wedding to Stella, Marshall laughs every time Lily asks him for money and then says, “Not yet.”
Marshall Eriksen Killed Tracy Mosby In How I Met Your Mother Finale Episode
The way he said “not yet,” I thought. It looked very stupid. As if he knew Ted and Stella’s relationship was doomed. Maybe he heard Stella talking to Tony earlier. What else could have made Marshall so confident? He had a dark side that the show was always trying to hide behind that big goofy smile.
When Stella left Ted at the altar, Ted didn’t have the courage to commit to a serious relationship for long. Perhaps in hindsight, Marshall highlights the circumstances leading up to Ted Robin’s confession. Then he didn’t want to lose the bet! But, to his dismay, Robin refused. Even when Robin married Barney, he didn’t lose hope. But when Ted found Tracy, the one true love of his life, Marshall was afraid to lose the bet. He was a psychopath. Everyone has a dark side and that was his. All he wanted was to win this bet. So he ruthlessly slipped some kind of slow poison into Tracy’s food to make her sick. Lily and Marshall were very close to Ted so he had easy access to their food. Tracy fell ill and died in the last episode of How I Met Your Mother. Ted told his children the whole story of his life. Marshall also knew his children well. He knew they loved Robin. He assumed that if the children found out how much Ted loved his beloved Aunt Robin, they would ask him to be with her again, since their mother had already died six years ago.
